THE ISLAMIC/SHARI’AH LAWS OF INHERITANCE

Abu Sa‘iid Al-Khudary narrates that Rasulullah (SAW) said: "When a Muslim bondsman is buried, the grave says to him, Welcome, you were the most beloved to me from among those who walked on the surface of me. Today when I have been made your servant, and you have come to me, you will observe my dealing with you. Hence it expands for him as far as his eyes can see, and it opens for him a door to Jannah. – Tirmidh

This brings me to....DEATH.

Have you wondered who will perform your janaza? Who will attend? What will be your fate when you start to hear those footsteps departing, which you will, and clearly too?

Scares me to DEATH.

GIVING & TAKING

When do we ever get enough of anything? Money, time, love, kids (skip that)? We just keep asking and not giving back enough to those giving us. Or do we?

THIS WEDDING WAHALA SEF!

Attending wedding parties in which there are objectionable things (munkaraat)?

Is it permissible for a woman to attend a wedding party if there will be some things which go against sharee’ah, such as playing music and dancing to it, or revealing clothes. Will her guardian such as her husband or father be guilty of sin if he gives her permission to attend this party? What is the ruling if the invitation comes from a relative and if she does not accept it there is the fear of a breakdown in family ties? Please advise us, may Allaah reward you with good.

ie Music, mixing of genders, tight revealing clothes(even amongst women), Male photographers, Pictures which will be seen by all etc?
..................................................................................................................

Praise be to Allaah.

If the parties are as described in the question, it is not permissible for anyone to accept the invitation, unless he or she is able to remove the evil things (munkar). In that case it is obligatory to accept the invitation for the purpose of removing the evil. But if he is not able to do that, then it is not permissible to attend these celebrations which include all or some of these things which go against sharee’ah. And it is not permissible for anyone to allow his wife or daughter or other female relative under his guardianship to attend these parties. If he says, I am afraid that there will be a rift between me and my relatives or that the ties of kinship will be broken, we say, then let that happen, because when they disobeyed Allaah by having parties of this kind, there is no duty to accept their invitation. If they then break the ties, the sin is on them and there is no sin at all on the one who refused to attend these celebrations.

MUSIC...Y'know?

The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“Among my ummah there will certainly be people who permit zinaa, silk, alcohol and musical instruments…” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari ta’leeqan, no. 5590; narrated as mawsool by al-Tabaraani and al-Bayhaqi. See al-Silsilah al-Saheehah by al-Albaani, 91).

This hadeeth indicates in two ways that musical instruments and enjoyment of listening to music are haraam. The first is the fact that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “[they] permit” which clearly indicates that the things mentioned, including musical instruments, are haraam according to sharee’ah, but those people will permit them. The second is the fact that musical instruments are mentioned alongside things which are definitely known to be haraam, i.e., zinaa and alcohol: if they (musical instruments) were not haraam, why would they be mentioned alongside these things? (adapted from al-Silsilah al-Saheehah by al-Albaani, 1/140-141)

Shaykh al-Islam (Ibn Taymiyah) (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: This hadeeth indicates that ma’aazif are haraam, and ma’aazif means musical instruments according to the scholars of (Arabic) language. This word includes all such instruments. (al-Majmoo’, 11/535).

**Lets Inshaa Allah play our roles by preventing the spread of music on facebook. If our friends have uploaded videos we can advise them to remove it and let them know of the sin involved. We have all been given the intellect from knowing the right from wrong, Alhumdullilah. But unfourtanately we shy away, when it comes to practice.

Lets work together and make this happen, Inshaa Allah!

DAILY WAR

There are times when I want to dress for work and I want to look real good simply cos I feel real good, li'l jewelries 'we' wouldn't count as jewelry showing (still tempting) abd then, I'd think of make up even if it's at it's barest minimum, small lipgloss and Kohl, a hijab hiked up to look like a wrap-around (still dreaming) and then like mama's gentle hands guiding my steps when I was learning to walk........THIS

Allah Ta'ala says: "And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their private parts from sin and not show of their adornment except only that which is apparent, and draw their headcovers over their necks and bosoms and not reveal their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women (i.e., their sisters in Islam), or their female slaves whom their right hands possess, or old male servants free of physical desires, or small children who have no sense of women's nakedness. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And turn unto Allah altogether, O you Believers, in order that you may attain success.[An-Nur, 24:31]

THEN I REMEMBER.......What was I thinking doing that to me, my man and other people's men and son's...and I change my mind Alhamdulillah.

Used to be a daily battle believe me, till I just told me He wants me for himself.

WHY I HAVE NO PICTURES OF 'ME' or 'NI-NI' ON FACEBOOK...sorry buddies

MY BEAUTY IS FOR MY HUSBAND TO SEE, NOT THE WORLD!!!!!!

Struggling to decide whether it's safe or not to upload pictures of their children on social networking websites such as Facebook, My space etc. The risks may not be as severe as first thought, suggests research, But that doesn't mean posting pictures of your children is, especially as profile picture is entirely SAFE.

It is no longer surprising, when after performing a search, you clic...k on a friends name and what immediately pops up is a jolly seven year old kid or a crawling baby with a cute smile uploaded as a profile picture. Here, laid bare for everyone to see is a rapidly growing tendancy of escapism, self-effacement, misrepresentation and some could say irresponsibility too.

Many parents tend to take the decision lightly and without consideration of unexpected risks that could follow after such a ruch decision. They seem to have forgotten that Facebook is a utility that connects people with friends, family & colleagues and that if anyone who displays a photo of a kid as their profile picture, they are giving out false portrayal that could enormously be taken advantage of.

What are the risks?

There are five main risks you expose a kid to as soon as

you upload their pix as on your profile page.

1. Strangers passing photo of the kid as their own.

It only takes a click for a stranger to copy the child's photo and save them on their the Hard Drive Disk. Using this method, stranges could use picture of your kid and pass them as their own.

2. Awkward Relatives/Friends.

There is always the possibilty of an awkward friend or relative causing an upset by misusing the picture on other places.

3. Websites using the picture without consent.

A classic example is of an author of "single mom seeking" who came accross a website that used a picture of her daughter for advertisement in California.

4. Paper dolls.

Is when picture of kids, used by other mostly foreign teenage girls after being imported from photo-sharing websites, then labelling them with sexy ratings according to their quality of work.

5.Peodophiles.

This is the foremost dangerous risk. Online social networking sites are hunting ground for perverts. An undercover pervert will try to forge friendship in order to try to lure the kid on the profile. They will try to obtain pictures for photoshopping & swapping. Very chilling.

While privacy settings could be modified to allow only selected users to have access to the private pictures, However it is unwise and irresponsible to post a kid's picture on anyone's profile. Or else, you are involuntarily helping to create a perfect hunting ground for some sub-species of peodophiles who like their victims very young.

Lets do our utmost to protect the children from the long & dangerous tentacles of the net. This Article was based solely on children's pics but then again this also applies when we upload our own pics(Brothers And Sisters). Even though this article points out the possible misuse of the uploaded pictures we should not make this our main reason to remove our pics but rather to remove our pics for the sake of Allah and for his pleasure, Inshaa Allah. We obey the Creator not the Creation.JazakAllahu Khairun for everone that have removed such Pictures and those that will be removing it soon after.

FRESH STORM BREWING.....ANOTHER HALLIBURTON IN THE MAKING?

A major fraud inquiry is underway at the House of Representatives over a controversial concession of huge import and export clearing contract to an alleged phony firm by the federal ministry of finance, which lawmakers say stand to rip the national treasury of over $30 billion dollars.
The House, on Wednesday, authorised public hearings and broad investigations on how the huge contract was reached, setting aside public procurement stipulations as well as current national platform on import and export services.
For the next 15 to 20 years, Single Window Systems and Technology Limited, a company allegedly with no official address, will operate a new National Single Window (NSW) platform - a crucial technology-based import and export documentation services which already exists and for which the government has spent N300 billion.
In return, the firm, hurriedly set up by questionable promoters according to lawmakers well informed about the deal, will levy extra charges on importation while also collecting an unprecedented tax on exports.
Lawmakers say the job, primarily that of the Nigeria Customs Service, was given to the firm in a non-transparent process that totally breached procurement rules, and would tremendously hurt the economy.
"When we start taxing exports for our kind of economy, it will kill manufacturing and destroy jobs," said Yakubu Dogara, a member from Bauchi State, who brought the issue to the attention of the House.
In details and scope, the planned investigations may only be surpassed by the inconclusive $16 billion power probe launched by the House in 2007.
In a motion that was unanimously supported by the members, Mr Dogara, a former chairman of the House committee on customs, gave details of the purported deal to buttress a rare direct accusation of fraud and misconduct from the lawmakers to the executive arm.
The current platform in use, and backed by a national data centre, telecom and IT infrastructure, has already drawn N300 billion of federal funds spent to train Customs officers' and outsourcing to specialist firms.
Awarded in secret
While that process is to run till July 2012, the lawmakers said the federal ministry of finance awarded, in "absolute secrecy", a new concession for the same functions to a "firm not known anywhere beyond its residential office accommodation in Asokoro."
The company, which is not engaged in supplying the service in question anywhere in the world, according to the resolution of the House, is to charge one per cent Freight on Board (FOB) on imports and exports in the country.
Lawmakers said the move will promote diversion of Nigeria-bound goods to other countries over fear of charges, after which the products will later be smuggled in, resulting in loss of federal revenue.
"For years, this nation has lost a lot of money through illegal concessions and waivers and this investigation should be able to reverse that trend," said Farouk Lawan (Kano, State PDP).
The House adhoc committee for the probe is to be named later, with references to establish the terms and circumstances of the award. Officials of the ministry and the involved companies are to give testimonies.
A spokesperson of the ministry of finance could not be reached for comments at press time.
